Welcome to Croftway Academy

There has been a school on the Croftway site since 1904 and I can fully understand how it has stood the test of time. Having attended this school as a child and spent my entire teaching career here, I can truly say that Croftway holds a special place in my heart. I feel immensely privileged to lead this wonderful school.

Croftway Academy is not just a place where children of all abilities become strong, independent learners who achieve their full potential; it is also a community where belonging is at the heart of every decision. Our staff work tirelessly to ensure children are provided with the very best experiences through memorable learning opportunities and expertly delivered lessons. We place a high value on developing oracy, ensuring our pupils leave with the academic, social and communication skills necessary to be successful in the next stage of their journey.

Our curriculum is meticulously sequenced from Nursery through to Year 6, which enables children to build upon their knowledge year after year. This structure ensures that basic skills are secured so that the progression to the next stage of learning is seamless.

Furthermore, our curriculum aims to ignite a lifetime interest in the wider world. We use the children’s own community and traditions to engage their interest and ensure their personal and social development is strong. In doing so, we endeavour to prepare our pupils for life in modern Britain.
